Neil Wilczynski

Neil comes to The Pitt with over 10 years of experience in the field of sports performance. His most recent position held was the Assistant Director of Sports Performance at Wingate University in North Carolina. While at Wingate, Neil oversaw the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for over 20 varsity sports, including the DII National Champion Bulldogs Baseball team and the Final Four Bulldogs Lacrosse team. Neil has worked with a variety of athletes and sports, from the high school to IIHF and Olympic levels. Neil earned his Master’s degree from Michigan Tech University and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Health and Human Development at Montana State University. His research interests include sleep and its relationship to concussion recovery, hormone levels, and neuromuscular performance for the prevention of injury. Neil is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is also a Level 1 Coach through USA Weightlifting.
